These terms cover your use of CertWatch, operated by Signature Insurance, a trade name of Doyle & Associates, Inc., 525 Darby Creek Rd, Unit 29, Lexington, KY 40509. By creating an account you agree to them.

What CertWatch does

CertWatch tracks certificates of insurance for the vendors and subcontractors you tell it about. It emails those vendors' insurance agents — under your business name, with replies going to you — asking for current certificates, reads what comes back, and checks it against requirements you set.

What CertWatch is not

CertWatch is software, not insurance. It does not provide coverage, it is not a policy, and nothing it produces changes what any policy covers. A certificate of insurance is itself only evidence that coverage existed when it was issued — it confers no rights and amends no policy, and neither does anything in this product.

A "compliant" verdict in CertWatch means the document we read matched the requirements you entered. It is not legal advice, not a coverage opinion, and not a substitute for your own review or your attorney's. Decisions about whether to let a vendor work, hold a payment, or accept a certificate remain yours.

What you're responsible for

That the vendor and agent details you enter are accurate, and that you're entitled to give us the agent's business contact details for this purpose.
Setting requirements that reflect your actual contracts. The defaults in the product are a starting point, not advice.
Reviewing what the software reports. Certificates are read automatically and automated reading is not perfect — an unusual layout or a poor scan can produce a wrong result, which is why every extracted value stays visible and editable.
Keeping your login secure.

What we're responsible for

Running the service with reasonable care, sending the requests you've asked us to send, and being straight with you when something goes wrong. We can't promise an insurance agent will reply, that a vendor will buy the coverage you require, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

Billing

A free plan covers up to 5 certificates and never requires a card.
Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during it.
Paid plans renew automatically — monthly or annually, whichever you chose — until you cancel.
Cancel any time from the billing page. Access continues to the end of the period you've paid for.
Prices are shown on the pricing section of our homepage. If we change them, existing subscribers get notice by email before it applies to them.
If a payment fails we'll keep your account active for a short grace period and tell you before anything stops.

Your data

Your data stays yours. We use it to run the service and nothing else — see the privacy policy for specifics and security for who processes what. Ask us to delete your account and we will.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account for non-payment, or for use that's unlawful or that abuses the sending system — for example loading addresses you have no relationship with. We'd contact you first in anything other than an emergency.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to CertWatch is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including an uninsured loss caused by a vendor, which is precisely why the section above says the coverage decisions stay with you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
